The location was great and the staff were superb. They booked tours for us and also allowed me to upgrade to a suite with minimul cost and no effort on my part
No room service
The rooms were lovely and well-appointed. The front-desk lady was especially friendly and helpful. The location was wonderful--right in the French Quarter, yet quiet in spite of being less than a block from Bourbon Street. I would stay there again and recommend it to any of my acquaintances.
The assistance from the staff was superb. There was an error in our bookings and when we arrived, they immediately set about correcting the situation.
It was nice being 50 yards from Bourbon st.
The Prince Conti Hotel was a good value for what I paid. The room was basic but served my needs of sleep and shower after traipsing through New Orleans. Though it's not really my scene, the hotel is only a half block around a corner from Bourbon St though we heard none of the noise. It is also conveniently located to a street car stop for easier access to the Riverwalk area. One gentleman at the desk, I believe his name was Charles, was very helpful and friendly with some interesting stories of his own.
Some of the employees at the hotel are less than gracious. While the parking is convenient (as in I didn't have to find parking) it's strange that they don't tell you where your car is taken, only that it's "about four blocks away." The worst part was the Bombay Club. The pretentious queen bartender made me a cosmopolitan that was clear. Anyone ever hear of a clear cosmo? It was not drinkable. The chef would not substitute my guest's spinach for a different vegetable. When it came, it tasted like Lysol and was inedible. Our entree was crab stuffed shrimp, three of them for $30. They tasted like the frozen ones from Costco. The restaurant was out of several choices, including the creme brûlée and the fish of the day. This was 8 pm. Blah!
The hotel was the perfect location for me while I was in town on business. It was central to everything. Very close to Bourbon Street, and within walking distance to the main sites in the French Quarter. It was also a very short walk to the downtown area/Canal Street. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.
Although we asked for and got a window, there are windowless rooms.
The Prince Conti was very close to attractions and felt like it was in a safe area. The Bombay Club was a tasty place to eat and the overall feel of the hotel fit with it's New Orleans location. It was an excellent value for the location.
The staff were kind and helpful. The parking area is small though so make sure you call for your car well in advance of wanting to leave. There was only one person getting cars at any given time so the wait could be 15-20 minutes.
Location was great! The room was spacious, staff was courteous, basic continental breakfast included is a bonus. I was one block from noisy Bourbon Street in my quiet room. Also the restaurant and jazz club in the hotel was great. I was here last year and will return again!
Location and the true feel of New Orleans.
Positionin french quaters was perfect
Ref the prospect on your site you was bragging about breakfast was incl witch it was not acc hotel has not been for the last year.Breakfast was one of the reasons that I picked the hotel.
I liked the proximity to everything in the French Quarter. It was all within walking distance. The desk clerk on duty when we checked in, Charles, was excellent and a tremendous help.
The tininess of the bathroom. But hey, you don't go to New Orleans to hang out in a hotel bathroom, so it was fine.
Location and the Bombay Club
The guest at times were very loud and had their doors open so you could hear what sounded like groups talking. Mostly guests who were not considerate of the noise level. The flat sheets on the mattress did not stay tucked in. That was maddening.
This hotel is very well located, just 1/2 block off Bourbon Street. The room was clean and the cleaning staff were very friendly.
We stayed at this hotel last September and at that time a continental breakfast was included. That was not true this time and the person who was at the front desk when we checked in was the least helpful and most unpleasant person we encountered.
The location was great, about 50 meters from Bourbon Street and the staff were 2nd to none.
